As a macroeconomist and senior manager in the International Monetary Fund from 1980 to 2009, I performed
analysis of economic and financial developments in countries and regions and negotiated economic programs
with governments in Africa, Asia, and Europe. I also have considerable experience in personnel, diversity, and
change management. Before the IMF, I worked for the Central Bank of Denmark and taught economics and
statistics at the University of Copenhagen.
